Tagi's Schutzhund Page
Tagi earns his SchH3
at the Podium SchH
club trial on Dec 3,
2005 with a High in
Trial !!!!
The weather for
the trial was bitter
cold. Tagi tracked
nicely with super
indications but lost
points on each of
the turns to end up
with a score of 92
and High Tracking.
OBEDIENCE
Waiting to start.                   I've got some plans of my own!
After skipping most of the blind search, Tagi stood on
the helper's foot while guarding in the blind. And in his
enthusiasm for this phase he lost points for "molesting"
the helper by standing on his knees, laying his head on
the top of the sleeve, and almost climbing up the front
of him after the long bite! But he had waited all day for
this part and couldn't help himself.
The attack
during back
transport,
and then the
side
transport
that I forgot
and had to
be
"prompted"
by the
helper. Oops.
Judge Mike
West was
very nice and
helpful.
Tagi earned a score
of 86 points and
Pronounced for the
High Protection score.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many
people who have helped me along the way to my very first
Schutzhund 3 title. First of all, Tagi's breeder Tammy
Weldon for her dedication to the working sport Doberman
and for both of my wonderful Swift Run Dobermans.

To Bob Adams and the other members of the Penn Ohio
Working Dog club for all of their support, guidance, and
encouragement. And especially thanks to Bob for his
tracking instruction.

And to Hardy Ernsting for his knowledge, guidance, and
encouragement that allowed me to finally realize a long
time dream of training and showing my very own dog all
the way to a SchH 3 title.

And I would also like to thank my friends and my
husband, Glenn, for their support and understanding of
the sport. Particularly my good friend, Debbie Hartzell,
for her company on many a long trip to training, suffering
through all kinds of weather with me, and learning to take
some fabulous and treasured photos for me. I really
appreciate it all and look forward to more "adventures in
training" together!
Cindy and Tagi, a very proud
and happy handler and a dog
watching to see if that helper
just might come back for more!

TRACKING
                                    Tagi did not mind the
                                     cold weather at all, he
jumped up on me repeatedly and mouthed the
front of my coat with enthusiasm. He missed the
sit out of motion and stood up momentarily on
the long down, but worked nicely overall for a
score of 83 points. I ended up a lot muddier than
when I started!
